HIGHER HOPE SET TO BUILD ON MARKET STREET LOT
SUNBURY-- Nearly 400 people gathered on Sunday morning at the Albright Center. After a time of praise and worship, Pastor Mark -- the founding and teaching Pastor of Higher Hope, began to preach from Ezekiel 37… "The Valley of Dry Bones." Calling the people to believe that God can do the impossible, he encouraged the congregation to hold on in faith and trust God in the process.
“What you think about God will determine whether you step out in faith or shrink back in cowardice," said Pastor Mark.
As the sermon continued, you could sense the stirring in the hearts of the people as they listened, responded with “amens”, and on occasion began applauding. As he reached the conclusion of the sermon, what seemed to be the architectural renderings of a building on Market Street began to flash up on the screen behind him, as he enthusiastically asked the congregation, “Are you all with me?” The people exuberantly cheered, standing to their feet. Many tears flowed. All the elders, deacons, and board members were called up to pray and thank God in advance for the things to come.
Two Christmas Eve gatherings will be held (5pm & 7pm). These will be the last services Higher Hope will have at the Albright Center.
They will be meeting at Shikellamy High School from January 1, 2017 to June 2017.
